This area is famous for its sandy beaches which are some of the nicest on the Costa del Sol. A myriad of golf courses, prestigious neighborhoods and lots of things to do make this a very sought after part of Marbella.
This is the beginning of the municipality of Marbella. Famous for its marina as well as the 18-hole golf course just inland from the marina.
Just West of Cabopino is the area of Artola which has been known for its protected dunes. A stretch of the beach here is also designated for naturism use.
Bordering the dunes of Artola are the beach side areas of Carib Playa and Marbesa. These areas are quiet residential areas with a few apartment complexes but featuring mostly villa neighbourhoods. A few beach side restaurants are also within walking distance.
Just inland off the A7 across from Carib Playa is Reserva de Marbella. This area has just a few large scale apartment complexes.
An exclusive and well established villa neighbourhood with a very lush feel to it thanks to the abundance of pine trees, which is situated just inland off the A7 across from Marbesa. This area is very sought after as generally speaking the plot sizes here are larger than average and some of the plots on the higher levels boast spectacular sea views.
The largest of the areas in East Marbella, Elviria has a lot to offer. The beaches are nice and sandy and there are lots of bars and restaurants to choose from including the exclusive Nikki Beach Marbella. With a few commercial centers in this area you have shops and most services just at your doorstep. One of the largest international schools of the Costa del Sol, EIC is also situated just off Cerrado de Elviria. Lastly, two golf courses on site make Elviria a very complete package: Greenlife Golf (9H) and Santa Maria Golf (18H)
Further inland from Elviria you will reach La Mairena which is part of both the municipalities of Marbella and Ojen. This area is part of the UNESCO biosphere reserve, Sierra de las Nieves. The area is famous for its nature and stunning panoramic views. There are two international schools (Juan Hoffmann and ECOS) on site as well as sports facilities, bars, restaurants and a 9 hole practice golf course, El Soto.
This beach side area features a mix of apartment complexes and houses. You will certainly find some bars and eateries also on site.
This beach side area is mostly built up with villas. It is bordered on the East by protected dunes where you will find some nice chiringuitos as well. There are a few apartment complexes all situated on the Western edge of the area. Lastly, this area is also home to the Las Chapas bilingual school.
This is situated just inland off the A7 across from Las Chapas Playa. Quite a few shops, restaurants, bars and a tennis club can be found at the bottom of El Rosario. Higher up this area is a large residential villa neighbourhood with some plots offering spectacular panoramic views. The Colegio Alboran international school is also just off this area.
This area is dominated by two golf courses: Marbella Golf & Country Club (18H) and Santa Clara Golf (18H). Excellent choice if you are looking for Golf properties.
This beach side gated area offers a mix of exclusive villas and apartments. Well known for its broad sandy beach with a few chiringuitos.
Inland off the A7 across from Los Monteros playa this area offers some of the most spectacular panoramic sea views on the Costa del Sol. The area is mostly built up by large villas though there are also a few apartment complexes. The largest hospital in the Costa del Sol is situated at the bottom of this area.
An upmarket beachside villa neighbourhood. The Monteros Hotel and its beach club La Cabane offer some exclusive services on site.
This is considered a great area because of its proximity to Marbella. Furthermore, the gorgeous Rio Real Golf Club (18H) with its Boutique Hotel and also beach side restaurant Trocadero Arena are to visit here. The area is mostly built up with exclusive apartments, though there are also some villas around the golf course.
